Questions We Get a Lot
Permit requirements vary by city, county, and intended use — whether the home will sit on a permanent foundation, be used as an accessory dwelling unit, or remain on a trailer. We recommend checking with your local planning or zoning department before placing your order. Many customers find that tiny homes on wheels fall under different regulations than traditional structures, which can simplify the process.
Both uses are possible depending on the model and your local regulations. Our eco tiny homes are designed with everyday living in mind — thoughtful layouts, quality finishes, and materials built to handle real, sustained use. Whether you're planning a permanent downsizing move or a dedicated guest retreat, the structures are built to support comfortable, ongoing habitation.
Most installations benefit from a level, stable foundation — options commonly include a concrete pad, gravel base, or pier system depending on the model and your site conditions. Site preparation is the responsibility of the homeowner and should be arranged in advance of delivery. Reviewing the specifications for your chosen home will give you the clearest picture of what your site will need.
Tiny homes ship with free delivery on most orders within the Continental U.S. (excludes AK/HI). Our 30-Day Return Policy applies — please review our Return Policy page for full details on eligibility and the return process, as oversized structures may have specific conditions. We encourage you to reach out before purchasing if you have questions about your location or delivery logistics.
About Our Tiny Homes
Eco tiny homes represent a quieter, more intentional approach to the way people live. Designed to make the most of a compact footprint, they offer a complete, self-contained living environment without the overhead — financial or otherwise — of a conventional house. The appeal is real: lower running costs, a smaller environmental impact, and the freedom to place a well-designed home in settings that a traditional build simply couldn't reach. They suit a wide range of needs, from full-time downsizing and off-grid living to guest accommodations, home studios, and personal retreats on your own property. When choosing an eco tiny home, it's worth thinking carefully about construction materials and how they perform across seasons, the layout and how it supports the way you actually live day to day, and whether the design allows for the utilities and connections your lifestyle requires. A well-built tiny home should feel spacious in spirit even when modest in scale — and it should be built to last.
